Desdemona in review

It’s been two whole days since the ear-splitting good time that was Desdemona. For those who haven’t heard of it, the Desdemona Festival was a 3-day music show in Cincinnati’s Sawyer Point Park on the Ohio River. The brainchild of Cincinnati entrepreneur and music fan Nick Spencer, Desdemona featured nearly 40 bands from the indie and underground scene. Prominent indie artists, such as The Walkmen, Margot & the Nuclear So and So’s, Forget Cassettes, Mates of State, The Stills, and We Are Scientists treated thousands of fans to a taste of underground music.

There has already been a tremendous amount of coverage of Desdemona in various magazines and blogs, so I’ll refrain from re-hashing the details of the show. I will, however, be posting plenty of pics that I took at Desdemona. I took a lot of photos, so it will take me a little while to get them all processed. I’ll get them up bit-by-bit for your viewing pleasure.

Sadly I wasn’t able to attend the first day of the festival, so I missed some great acts like Margot & The Nuclear So and So’s. I heard Friday’s session was fantastic, but unfortunately I can’t comment on any of the bands or share any photos.
